Man sentenced for a series of incidents involving vehicle interference offences

A man has been arrested and convicted of a series of vehicle interference offences in Haverhill.

Wayne Read,  aged 37, of Fritton Court, in Haverhill, appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday, January 11).

It follows an incident on Saturday evening (January 9) where there were reports of three incidents of vehicles being tampered with. The vehicles were a BMW, a VW Golf and a white Ford estate.

Read was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police investigation Centre for questioning. He was subsequently charged with three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle and appeared before Ipswich magistrates court where he pleaded guilty

He was sentenced to a 12-month community order, up to 15 days RAR (Rehabilitation) and ordered to pay a fine of £95.00
