Woman who died in collision in Tuddenham named by police

A woman fatally injured in a road traffic collision that took place at Tuddenham was named today by police as 41-year-old Rachael Louise Bond, of Bury St Edmunds.

The accident happened on Saturday, February 6, at about 2pm, on Higham Road.

A black Mercedes C Class travelling from Tuddenham towards the A14 and a black Ford Focus travelling from the A14 towards Tuddenham were in collision.

The occupants of the Mercedes, a man and a woman, sustained injuries.

They were all taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, by land ambulance for treatment.

The female, who a passenger in the Mercedes, died on Wednesday, February 10.

Police are still appealing for witnesses and anyone who saw the collision or the manner of driving of any of the vehicles should contact Suffolk police quoting CAD reference 192 of 6 February 2021.
