Man dies after falling from second floor window of pub in Newmarket

A man has died in Newmarket after he fell from a second floor window at a pub in the town.

Police officers were called at approximately 12.55am yesterday, Sunday, June 13, following reports that a man had been injured in High Street.

Upon arrival, it was established that the man had fallen from a second-floor window at The Golden Lion pub.

An ambulance and an air ambulance attended but the man, who was aged in his 20s, was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later at the scene.

A cordon remains in place while an investigation into the circumstances continues.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but is not believed to be suspicious.

Next of kin have been informed.
