Man suffers suspected fractured jaw and eye socket following attack in Newmarket

A man has been seriously hurt after being attacked in an incident in Newmarket.

It took place in the Moulton Road area of the town early today, Sunday, September 5, at some point between 3am and 3.20am.

The victim, a 24-year-old male, was found in the road with serious head wounds, including a suspected fractured jaw and eye socket. He is currently in a stable condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

Police are keen to speak with anyone that might have been in Moulton Road at around 3am, saw a man with head and face injuries walking around. Officers are also keen to hear form anyone who heard anything suspicious or they may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident.
