There’s even more reason to shop in Bury St Edmunds with a Mid-Week Makers Market now adding to the town’s offer.
The new attraction takes place in The Traverse, from 9am to 4pm, as part of the weekly Wednesday market.
Visitors will be able to shop from a range of 10 Makers Market stalls selling hand-made items including crafts, arts and more. And the mix of stalls will change regularly meaning there’s plenty of reason to return.
Julie Baird, director for Planning and Growth at West Suffolk Council, said: “We have some wonderfully creative and talented people in the area making some brilliant arts and crafts. Our Mid-Week Makers Markets offer the chance to see their skills, hear some of the stories that have influenced their work and to help them turn their passion or hobby into a business.
“We know that our Sunday monthly Makers Markets, including the one we held over last weekend, are already popular and offer another reason for people to come into town, shop at the stalls and support the surrounding town centre businesses while they are here – and we anticipate these Mid-Week Makers Markets will be a similar success.
“Whether you are looking for something for your home or the perfect gift, our Makers Markets offers something extra, and sit perfectly alongside our regular Wednesday street market. We hope to see you there.”
