Details of the cast for the pantomime being held at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds have been unveiled.
“Cinderella” is taking place between Friday, November 26, and Sunday, January 16, and returning for a fourth year is Chris Clarkson who will be playing the gossipy, girly Kylie Grizzle, one of Cinderella’s ugly step-sisters.
Chris has become a firm audience favourite following his performances as the gorgeous and outrageous Tiger Lily in “Peter Pan”, Nanny Fanny in “Sleeping Beauty” and Dame Winona in “Dick Whittington”.
Alongside Chris, Craig Painting fills the rather large and smelly shoes of wannabe pop star and ugly sister, Mylie Grizzle.
In the title role of Cinderella is Becky Sanneh recently graduated in Musical Theatre from Trinity Laban.
Others taking part are Beth Tuckey, as the pushy showbiz mum and step-mum, Grizelda Grizzle; Buttons is to be portrayed by Howie Michaels; serious-minded and strait-laced Dolores Van-Dini is brought to life by Felicity Houlbrooke; Prince Roger is played by Samuel Knights; and the fairy godmother role is taken by Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah.
The search is now on for local young performers to join the Young Chorus and the theatre is looking for young people aged 10 to 18 years old with a passion for performing.
“Cinderella” is produced by Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, and directed by Owen Calvert-Lyons. The choreographer is Jess Ellen and the musical director is Ward Baker.
