Dog walker assaulted by man in his 40s in Haverhill

An elderly dog walker has been assaulted in Haverhill.

The man suffered cuts and bruises when he was pushed to the ground by a younger man out walking his own dog on the old railway walk near Howe Road on Thursday, May 12, at 4.45pm.

The suspect is described as in his late 40s, 6ft tall, with long fair hair and wearing a gold T-shirt. He had a small brown dog with a pointed snout.

The victim, who is in his 70s, said an unknown couple intervened to stop the assault.
