Abbeygate Cinema to stage British Independent Film Festival

The Abbeygate Cinema, in Bury St Edmunds, is screening three new feature films and five sets of short films as part of the British Independent Film Festival.

The festival has been screening independent films from around the world for over 10 years across venues in London. 

Following two years of online-only screenings, the Festival Guild is now bringing the event to the Abbeygate for the first time. 

Each of the screenings will be followed by a live Q&A with the filmmakers where audience members will have the chance to ask any burning questions they may have.

This is all followed by an exciting awards ceremony and an after-party where people can catch up with the actors and filmmakers over a drink or two.

Previous alumni of the festival include Sean Bean, Sia Clifford, David Attenborough, April Pearson, Danny Dyer, Emily Mortimer ad Doug Milsome, among other legends of cinema.
