Man airlifted to hospital following accident in Assington
An accident between a a motorcyclist and a car in Assington has resulted in a man being airlifted to hospital.
The incident, described as “a serious road traffic collision” took place on the A134, yesterday (Friday, June 17) at 1.16pm.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car at the junction with Dyers Lane
Paramedics and the air ambulance also attended.
A man was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, having suffered potentially serious injuries.
Another person also suffered potentially serious injuries.
Road closures were initially put in place and officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, along with anyone driving in the area prior to the incident who has a dashcam in their vehicle.
