Man robbed and assaulted in park

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery and a separate assault in a nature reserve in Bury St Edmunds.

The incidents occurred between 7.15pm and 8pm on May 10, in Tayfen Meadow.

A man on a red bike was approached by a group of about eight males who punched and kicked him and stole his mobile phone, tobacco and personal documents.

Upon leaving the nature reserve, a female suspect swung a punch at him but did not connect.
