Man and woman seriously hurt in accident at Ashfield cum Thorpe

A man and a woman, both in their 80s, have been seriously hurt in a two-vehicle road traffic collision that took place on the A1120 in Ashfield cum Thorpe.

The incident happened at around 4.50pm on Monday, July 11, when a silver Honda Civic, which the duo were travelling in, was involved in a collision with a white Nissan NV 400 van at the junction with The Street.

They were taken to Ipswich Hospital by a member of public where it was determined that they had sustained potentially life changing injuries.

The incident was reported to police the following day and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
