Teenage girl victim of assault in Bures

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a teenage girl in Bures earlier this month.

The incident took place at around 8pm on Friday, July 8, off Colchester Road, and near to where a music festival was taking place, but outside its parameters.

A 16-year-old girl was sitting with a group of friends when she was struck on the head by a glass cider bottle, which caused a small laceration and required medical treatment.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any mobile phone footage of it.
