Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash at Barton Mills

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Barton Mills.

The single-vehicle incident took place at around 8.45pm on Tuesday, July 26.

A red and black Honda motorcycle was travelling along Newmarket Road, heading towards the junction with the A11, when it left the road.

The rider of the motorcycle was taken to West Suffolk Hospital having suffered injuries that were considered at the time to be potentially life-changing but not life-threatening.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses, including anyone who may have seen the motorbike being ridden in the area prior to the collision. Any motorists with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle who were driving in the area at the time are asked to review the footage.
