Guitarist Albert Lee to play the Apex next month

Known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique, Albert Lee (pictured above) needs no introduction to Country Music & Rock fans.

An exceptional guitar player, he has worked with some of the world’s top artists, from Emmylou Harris to the Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton to Eric Clapton and is to appear at the Apex, next month.

He’s the co-writer of “Country Boy” (recorded by American country music artist Ricky Skaggs) and writer of many other great songs, and he’s been one of the most in-demand session guitarists on the scene.

Double Grammy Award Winner, Albert is also an accomplished piano player and has a fine singing voice. He has a soulful voice but can equally ‘tear it up’ rock ‘n roll style.

He was also a member of The Everly Brothers Band, Emmylou Harris’s Hotband and Bill Wymans’ Rhythm Kings and toured extensively with them. He also toured with his own band, Hogan’s Heroes for many years.

Albert Lee is at the Apex on Tuesday, September 20, at 7.30pm, see www.theapex.co.uk or ring 01284 758000 for more information or to book tickets.
