People evacuated from their homes following report of gas leak

People living in the Heath Estate area of Great Waldingfield have been evacuated from their homes following what appears to be a gas leak.

Emergency services are at the scene after police were called at just after 9.55am today, Thursday, September 8, to reports of concern for safety at a property on the estate.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service are also on the scene dealing with a reported gas leak and a number of residents have been evacuated as a precaution.
