A140 opens after being closed following three-vehicle crash

The A140 near Wetheringsett reopened this afternoon (Wednesday, September 21) after being closed to traffic for over four hours following a road traffic collision.

Police were called at 9.25am this morning to reports of a three-vehicle crash at Brockford Street.

Paramedics and an air ambulance were also in attendance at the incident, which involved a black Toyota Prius, a silver Ford Transit van and a black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior.

Two drivers sustained injuries – which were assessed to not be life-threatening or life-changing – and they were taken by land ambulance to the Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

The A140 was closed in both directions but fully reopened at around 2pm.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking anyone driving in the area with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage for any footage that may be of assistance.
