Winners of ‘The Naked Choir’ set to appear at the Apex next month

The multi-award-winning British vocal group Sons of Pitches (pictured above) return to the Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month, to celebrate over 10 years of A Cappella adventures with their new show, “Best Bits”.

They shot to fame in November 2015 when they were crowned winners of the BBC2 singing contest “The Naked Choir”, hosted by Gareth Malone, as their combination of soaring solos, impeccable harmonies and stunning beatboxing – mixed with a large dose of comedy – captivated the viewing public’s imagination.

Since then, the group, which is made up of Joe Novelli, Joe Hinds, Joe Belham, Josh Mallett and Midé Naike, have captivated audiences with their highly creative vocal gymnastics and a programme of inventive pop covers, original numbers and entertaining improvised songs.

With over three million YouTube hits and a growing international reputation, it’s fair to say that The Sons have “given a cappella a kick up the backside”.

Expect some of your favourite tunes from the last decade, including songs from Gareth Malone’s Naked Choir and top picks from all five of their UK tours.

There’ll be a selection of ridiculous skits that should probably have been left in 2017 and of course, their trademark improvised numbers, that you will help to inspire.

Sons of Pitches will be at The Apex, on Thursday, April 6. Visit the website www.theapex.co.uk or ring 01284 758000 for more information or to book tickets.
