Free jobs, skills and well-being fairs to support residents in West Suffolk

There will be two jobs, skills and well-being fairs this autumn in West Suffolk for people to attend, where local businesses and training providers will be advertising their vacancies and courses.
Mildenhall will host the first fair on Wednesday, September 13, from 10am to 12.30pm, at The Jubilee Centre.
The second fair will be in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday, October 4, from 10am to 12.30pm, at The Apex, as part of the West Suffolk Business Festival.
Both fairs will offer the opportunity to meet and speak with representatives from an abundance of local employers and providers, all in one place.
There will be a wide variety of different businesses and organisations attending, alongside job roles being advertised. The events provide the chance to speak with these employers directly.
Training providers will be in attendance, who will be available to discuss training and learning opportunities that can support various career paths.
There will also be different types of well-being support available, for example helping you tackle loneliness, build resilience, manage stress and anxiety, supporting you with money management, debt and more.
Local businesses from all sectors are invited to attend the fairs to showcase the wealth of role and opportunities that are on offer in West Suffolk.

Cliff Waterman, leader of West Suffolk Council, said: “I am thrilled that we have two jobs, skills and well-being fairs in West Suffolk this autumn, so we reach as much of the local community as possible.
“West Suffolk Council’s support for these events is part of our drive to support our residents in learning new skills and finding employment. The council is also keen to ensure that our area continues to punch above its weight across all employment sectors, these fairs help our local businesses who share this ambition to recruit to their workforce.”
Both fairs are being delivered in partnership between West Suffolk Council and the Department for Work and Pensions.
