Teenager killed in collision with lorry in early morning accident on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds
A teenage girl has died following a collision on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds.
The incident occurred on the westbound carriageway between junctions 44 at Moreton Hall and 43 (sugar beet factory site) at around 1.30am this morning, Monday, April 15.
A 16-year-old girl was involved in a collision with a lorry and died at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions until 6.40am when the Ipswich bound side reopened. The westbound carriageway was reopened at 11.40am.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
