Three people charged following stabbing incident in Newmarket car park

Further arrests have been made and three people have been charged following a serious assault in which a man was stabbed in Newmarket.
Police were called at 5.53pm, on Wednesday, April 10, to reports of an incident within the car park at Market Square, at The Rookery.
A man, aged in his 20s, was approached by a group of four males before being attacked.
The victim sustained serious stab wound injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Following the incident five people have been arrested three who have been charged with a series of offences.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on Monday, April 15, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to an incident on April 8. He was questioned by officers at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (pictured above) and subsequently charged.
Sonnie Bishop-Browne, of Dick Perryman Court, Newmarket, was subsequently charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place. He was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to an incident on April 8 and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, April 17.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, April 11, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Georgie Bishop, of Dick Perryman Court, Newmarket, was subsequently charged with wounding with intent and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place. He was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to a separate incident that took place on April 8. He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 13, and was remanded in custody to next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on May 13.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on April 13 on suspicion of assault and questioned at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre. Alisha Gentle, of Exning Road, Newmarket, was subsequently charged with using threatening words or behaviour to cause alarm or distress on April 10. She was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to an incident on April 8. She appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 13, and was bailed to next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on May 13.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested in Haverhill on Wednesday, April 10, on suspicion of assisting offenders. She was taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently bailed to return to police on July 2.
And a 14-year-old boy was also arrested on April 11 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and subsequently bailed to return to police on July 2.
