Motorist dies following road traffic collision in Barham

A man in his 50s has died following a road traffic collision in Barham.

Police were called by the ambulance service just before 4.10pm yesterday, Wednesday, September 18, to a report of a serious collision at the junction of Main Road, Bell’s Cross Road and Clay Lane in the village involving a blue Rover and a white Volvo lorry

Emergency services attended, however, the driver of the Rover, a man aged in his 50s, sadly died at the scene.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene and conducted the initial investigation. The road was reopened in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, September 19.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, including anyone with a dash camera that might have captured the collision or recorded the vehicles beforehand.
