A14 to close at Bury St Edmunds for bridge joint and road surface repair work

Bridge joint and road surface repair works is set to be carried out on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds later this month.

It will result in the westbound carriageway being closed at the Tesco superstore junction for two nights between Tuesday and Thursday, November 26 to 28.

National Highways said that to carry out the work safely, they will need to close the A14 westbound at junction 43, between the exit slip and the entry slip from 8pm to 6am.

A diversion will take place and traffic wishing to continue westbound on the A14 will be diverted off the A14 at junction 43. At the St Saviours Interchange roundabout, take the third exit and rejoin the A14 westbound.
