Pupils at  Claydon Primary School pupils have unleashed their creativity in a card design competition, hosted by Taylor Wimpey East Anglia.

Year 5 pupils were challenged  to design a “welcome to your new home” card for new residents at the Barham Meadows development.

The competition saw lots of children take part, each showcasing their artistic talents.

The team at Taylor Wimpey East Anglia selected three winners who were all awarded for their creative efforts.

Taking first place was Freya, followed by Faith in second place and Oliver in third place.

Freya’s welcome card, which contains a short, heartwarming poem, was brought to life and will now be sent to new residents at Barham Meadows.

Mrs O’Connor, the headteacher at Claydon Primary School, said: “The children were so excited to take part in the competition as it gave them the opportunity to get colourful and creative.

“We hope the new homeowners at Barham Meadows love their welcome card as they become a part of the local community.”

Olivia Peters, head of sales at Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, said: “We’re thrilled to have Claydon Primary School pupils take part in our competition. The competition brought creativity and enthusiasm from all the children and we’re sure that our residents will love their welcome cards.”
