Change in diversion route as work continues to be carried out on the A11
There has been a change in the route of the diversion off the A11 as work continues on the concrete carriageway between the Red Lodge Interchange and Fiveways roundabout, at Barton Mills.
The work being carried out by National Highways on the southbound carriageway started as planned on Wednesday, January 8.
Due to other planned works, nothing will be carried out on the A11 tonight (Friday, January 10) and the road will remain open to traffic.
But from Monday, January 13, to help reduce disruption through the local villages along the A1101 and B1106 there will be a change to the diversion route.
When the A11 is closed between 8pm and 6am, southbound traffic will exit the A11 at Elveden via London Road / Elveden Road / Station Road and join the A134 at Barnham. Follow the A134 south towards Bury St Edmunds and join the A14 westbound at junction 43.
Northbound traffic will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction and continue on the A134 to rejoin the A11 at Thetford.
A map of the diversion can be found above.
