Pair bailed after being arrested following street brawl in Newmarket

Two men who were arrested following an assault in Newmarket have been bailed.

Officers were called at 3.40pm on, Saturday, March 8, to reports of an altercation involving a number of people on the High Street.

Two men sustained injuries as a result of the incident and were taken to hospital.

One person has now left hospital while the other remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Two men, aged 25 and 23 from Newmarket, were arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (pictured above) for questioning.

The two men have now been bailed with conditions to return to police on June 5.
