Appeal launched for witnesses to accident on A14 which closed the road for nearly four hours

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds.
Officers were called to the A14 near to junction 43, the St Saviours interchange at Tesco, at 8.56am yesterday (Thursday, March 13) following reports of a collision involving two cars and a van.
The van involved was a white Vauxhall Vivaro, while the two cars were a silver Renault Scenic and a grey Citroen C4.
The driver of the Renault, a man aged in his 80s, sustained serious injuries, described as life-changing.
He was taken by land ambulance to hospital, where he remains.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended.
The road was closed in both directions and led to traffic having to come off the A14 to find alternative routes which led to gridlocked roads and traffic delays in and around the town.
All lanes in both directions were fully reopened by 12.50pm.
Anyone who saw the collision or has dash cam footage prior to the incident should contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Police Headquarters, quoting 37/13965/25, via:
