Three additional markets coming to Mildenhall

Three additional markets will be introduced this year in Mildenhall (pictured above) bringing new opportunities for the community to shop, explore and support local traders.

Following the success of existing markets in the town, new seasonal events will take place in the spring, autumn and winter, providing a shopping experience with a variety of stalls offering local produce, crafts, gifts and more.

Indy Wijenayaka, the cabinet member for Growth at West Suffolk Council, said: “These additional markets will bring fresh opportunities for local businesses while also giving residents and visitors an enhanced shopping experience.

“We’re excited to add more seasonal events to the Mildenhall calendar, giving people more chances to support local traders and enjoy a vibrant market atmosphere.”

The three markets will feature a mix of returning favourite traders and new stallholders, ensuring a diverse and exciting range of products.

Each market will also include free entertainment and music, street food, and festive themes appropriate to the season.

The markets will be held on the Market Place in the centre of Mildenhall:

  • Spring Market – Sunday, April 13, 10am until 3pm;
  • Autumn Market – Sunday, September 14, 10am until 3pm; and
  • Festive Market – Sunday, December 14, 10am until 3pm.

Local businesses and traders interested in securing a stall at any of the West Suffolk markets are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible.

These events are being organised by West Suffolk Council in partnership with Mildenhall High Town Council.
