Man assaulted in the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds

A man has been assaulted within the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds.
The incident took place on Monday, June 16, at between 5.45pm and 5.50pm.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, was near to the main Abbey Gate entrace, when he approached two men and asked them where the public toilets were.
One of the men then punched the victim to the side of the head.
Upon walking away the two men then approached the victim again and punched him several more times, causing a cut to his ear.
Both suspects are described as white. One was wearing a light blue t-shirt and three-quarter trousers with a pair of sunglasses on his head. The other was wearing all black clothing with a logo on the back of his t-shirt.
