Three burglaries in villages across West Suffolk

There have been three burglaries in villages across West Suffolk which police are linking with each other.
One occurred at about 3.30am yesterday (Wednesday, May 3) in Cowlinge where two males entered two barns and attempted to steal two vehicles before they were disturbed by the owner and they fled on foot.
It is thought they were both picked up by someone driving another vehicle. It is also thought the suspects were in a white Ford Transit and black VW.
This incident is being linked to another one in Thurlow where a trailer was stolen from outside a property on The Street overnight on May 3. Police believe the trailer stolen was used in the attempted thefts of the vehicles in Cowlinge.
A third incident on a farm in Barnardiston in the early hours of yesterday saw a member of the public report seeing five males on his CCTV system all wearing masks and carrying crowbars. It is understood containers were broken into but it is unclear what was stolen.
Residents in Hundon, Great Bradley, Thurlow, Cowlinge, Stradishall and Lidgate are being asked to review their CCTV, and report anything suspicious.
