Musical legends Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri on stage at the Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds, is to welcome two musical legends to the stage, next month, Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri.

For almost two decades, Kiki and Carmelo have been touring their spellbinding acoustic live show across the UK and Europe. Performing in this stripped back fashion allows each of their exceptional talents to shine through creating a wonderful and warm sense of intimacy for the audience.

2018 marks Kiki’s 55th year in the music industry and has cemented her status as one of the UK’s finest and most revered vocalists. The duo’s latest critically acclaimed album “A Place Where I Can Go” features 11 tracks including the haunting duet Horses with Scottish singer Eddi Reader.

Kiki has also appeared in musical theatre, notably in the lead role in Willy Russell’s West End musical Blood Brothers. She received an Olivier Award nomination in 1989 in the Best Actress in a Musical category. In 1990, she contributed to the last recording studio collaboration between Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, on the album Freudiana, performing You’re On Your Own and part of No One Can Love You Better Than Me.

Join Kiki and Carmelo for an acoustic journey of stories and songs on Saturday, April 14, which includes unique covers of songs by artists such as Kate Bush and Frank Sinatra and of course Kiki’s own hits Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, I Got The Music In Me and the stunning Amoureuse.

Tickets are on sale at the Box Office, call 01284 769505, book online at www.theatreroyal.org/shows/kiki-dee-carmelo-luggeri/ or visit the theatre in person.
