Brexit the next issue for the Edmund Lecture at the West Suffolk College

The argument over Brexit rages on and the next free Edmund lecture at the University of Suffolk at West Suffolk College asks “Is There a Mandate for Brexit?”

Taken by Dr Tom Quinn, senior lecturer in the department of government at Essex University, the talk on Wednesday, May 16, at 6pm, will look at The EU Referendum and Parliamentary Sovereignty.

Dr Quinn will also explore the numerous arguments over the referendum and attempt to establish what is meant by the notion of a ‘mandate’, what type of mandate for Brexit the referendum gave the government and whether that mandate still exists.
