Classic cars returned with a bang this September at the Arc Shopping Centre

To celebrate the local Classic Car Club of Bury St Edmunds, the Arc Shopping Centre hosted their second year of the Classic Car Show.

This year the club brought cars than spanned the ages, from 1900 up to 2000.

Shoppers were invited to come and experience the collection on Saturday.

The Classic Car Club brought along models including a BMW 645csi, Teal, Renault Ambulance, TVR Chimera, Dodge, Humber, Locomobile, Ford Mustang, Daimler 250 and a 1951 Studebaker.

The Arc also held a competition throughout the weekend to win a Radical Race Experience Day, worth over £100, by having to guess the combined age of all the cars on the Saturday. This was 638 years.

Donations from the race car simulators on the day also raised money for the My WiSH charity.

Colin Roberts, the centre manager, said “As a huge classic car enthusiast myself, welcoming the Classic Car Club of Bury St Edmunds along to showcase their huge array of beautiful cars for the second time was a dream come true.

“We then incorporated this into a weekend of race fun, with our virtual racers, where you could fight for the top spot. We are so happy that this has become an annual event and hope everyone came along to visit the classics of Suffolk and to support the local Classic Car Club of Bury St Edmunds.”
