Walsham le Willows Christmas Tree lights to be switched on Sunday

The lighting of the Christmas Tree in Walsham le Willows will take place on Sunday, December 2, at 4pm, in the churchyard of St Mary’s.

The village celebration will be led by carols from the children of the school together with the Walsham Male Voice Choir celebrating the start of Christmas in the traditional way with the lights being officially turned on by the youngest and the oldest pupils in the school.

This will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the Priory Room and then an Advent Caol Service in the church at 6pm.

This is just one of the many village events and organisations that will be funded by the profits of the village’s successful Gardens Weekend event over the August Bank Holiday which this year netted us nearly £9,000, half of which is used for the upkeep of St Marys and the rest distibuted in the form of grants.
