Man attacked with hammer in town centre in Bury St Edmunds
A man was attacked with a hammer in a daylight assault in the town centre in Bury St Edmunds.
Police officers were called shortly before 4pm on Wednesday, October 16, following reports that a male had assaulted another male with a hammer in Cornhill.
The victim – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to West Suffolk Hospital after sustaining injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Following initial police enquiries, officers would be keen to speak to any further witnesses who may have knowledge of the incident or who may have captured any footage on a mobile phone.
