The Abbeygate Cinema in Bury St Edmunds has released details of the films it is planning to screen as it comes out of lockdown measures.
It starts rolling on Friday, July 10, with “Love Sarah” after it initially missed out on its release in April when cinemas were forced to close their doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Now Eliza Schroeder’s family comedy-drama film will be the first new release shown at the cinema in Hatter Street as it opens its doors again.
The British feel-good film follows three generations of women as they set up a unique bakery in Notting Hill and boasts a great cast including Celia Imrie and Bill Paterson.
Other films showing from Friday include “Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again!”, “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back” and further screenings of Sam Mendes’ WW1 epic “1917”.
Moving forward the cinema plans to increase its opening hours and build the film programme content as new releases become available all leading to the unveiling of its new premier screen with its full-size screen and state of the art projector at the end of July.
