A team of fundraisers from Denny Bros Ltd are planning to walk, run or cycle 100 miles in aid of the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The team from the Bury St Edmunds company has signed up to the charity’s EACH Mile Counts which will see participants complete the 100 miles during November.

Account manager, Paula Armstrong, who has organised the Denny Bros team, said there were many reasons why the company wanted to get involved.

She explained: “First and foremost, we wanted to continue our work supporting local charities and we all know what amazing work EACH does for children and families in our community.

“Some of the staff taking part are regular runners or cyclists so this fundraiser appealed to them for every reason.

“Personally, and with the nights getting colder and darker, the EACH Mile Counts event will give me a reason to get out and this will have a positive effect on my health, fitness and mental wellbeing.”

Money raised from the event will help EACH’s crucial work supporting children with life threatening conditions.

Billie Race, EACH Events Fundraiser for Suffolk and East Essex, said: “We’re delighted the team at Denny Bros Ltd are taking on our EACH Mile Counts fundraiser.

“Whether they walk, run or cycle, we hope they enjoy the challenge and smash their target.

“We’re grateful for their support and the team should feel proud of their efforts, knowing the money they raise will make a real difference in terms of the vital care and support we provide to children, young people and families across East Anglia.”

Over the past two years, Denny Bros has also supported the Gatehouse appeal, collecting donated food items for the Bury St Edmunds charity.
