Man hurt following accident in Brandon

A man has suffered a brain bleed and a broken wrist following an accident in Brandon after being struck by a car which failed to stop.

The man, in his 50s, was found lying in the road at around 11.30pm on Saturday, July 23, in Thetford Road, close to Knappers Way.

It is believed he was hit by a car which failed to stop. He got up but fell again outside a house. He was later taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, suffering from a brain bleed and a broken wrist.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam or doorbell footage covering the period between 23.25 and 23.50 is asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting CAD reference 28072022 – 163.
