Man due in court today after being sought by police

A man is due in court today, Wednesday, November 9, after being arrested in connection with drugs offences in Sudbury and assaulting an emergency worker.

Andrew Chadfield, aged 38 and from Prestwich, in Manchester, was being sought by police.

He was arrested on Monday, November 7, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he was further arrested for malicious communications and threating a person with an offensive weapon.

He was subsequently charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and harassment with fear of violence and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
