It happened on Thursday, January 26, at about 3.20pm, on Eastgate Street.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also appealing for anyone with a dash-camera fitted in their vehicle who was driving in the area around the time of the incident, to review the footage for anything that may be of assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police, quoting CAD 231 or 37/5303/23 on 26 January.
