Appeal following crash on A14 at Rougham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision at Rougham.

It took place on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 on Sunday, January 29, at some point between 7.15 and 7.30pm

A vehicle was committed to driving onto the off-slip towards the new Rougham services and Rougham Business Park, but changed their mind and swerved back into lane one of the A14.

This caused another vehicle to take evasive action and spin into the central reservation. The offending vehicle failed to stop at the scene. No-one was hurt in the incident. The road was closed for about 20 minutes to recover the vehicle.

Any witnesses or any motorist who has dashcam of the incident please email Hannah.castleton2@suffolk.police.uk of the Roads and Armed Policing Team. They should quote CAD 264 of 29 January 2022.
