Celtic music band Skipinnish to play the Apex next month

Scottish band, Skipinnish (pictured above) encompass the very best of contemporary Celtic music with their unique and sublime self-penned songs and powerful bagpipe, fiddle and accordion-led tune sets.

As a result, the band, which is due to appear at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month, has built a loyal and strong fan base since its formation, by co-founders Andrew Stevenson and Angus MacPhail, on the Isle of Tiree in 1999.

Their anthemic songs have given them a track record of hits and sell-out shows across Scotland’s biggest and best music venues, putting them at the very top of Scotland’s vibrant Celtic Music scene.

Following a successful tour of packed out venues in England in 2022, they are returning in 2023 to meet the growing demand from fans south of the border.

Skipinnish co-founder, Angus MacPhail said: “2022 was an incredible year for the band.  Our two sold-out 5,000 capacity summer shows were the biggest gigs we’ve ever done and we had our best and biggest tour in England. We cannot wait to return.

“Music is universal and it has been incredible to see audiences all over England go as wild at our gigs as fans anywhere closer to home. We are really looking forward to feeling this magic again soon.”

Skipinnish are at The Apex on Wednesday, October 11, at 8pm. See www.theapex.co.uk or ring 01284 758000 for more information or to book tickets.
