Teenager pushed off his bicycle and stolen by his attacker

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was pushed off his bicycle in Newmarket which was ridden off by the attacker.

The reported robbery took place at around 7.45pm on Friday, October 6, in Wellington Street.

A teenage boy approached another teenage boy and pushed him to the ground before riding off on the victim’s bike in the direction of Tattersalls. The boy was not harmed.

The Whyte mountain bike is described as green with red pedals.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses and enquiries are continuing. Officers are keen to locate the bike and would like to hear from anybody who knows its whereabouts or has been offered it for sale.
