Raider steals wallet from home in West Row

A burglar has raided a home in broad daylight in West Row getting away with a wallet.

The incident took place in Church Road at around 3pm on Tuesday, October 10 and police are now appealing for any witnesses.

A couple entered their house from their garden after hearing what they thought was someone inside their home and upon entering saw a man exiting a room.

The man, who they discovered had stolen a wallet from inside a bedside table, walked out of the address once challenged.

The man is described as white, with dark hair, aged around 30, and approximately 5ft 10ins in height.

He was of a medium build and was wearing dark blue jeans, a short-sleeve, dark-coloured t-shirt and trainers. He also had white hearing aids in each ear.

Enquiries into the incident are on-going and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour around this time, has CCTV or dash cam footage, or knows who was responsible.
