Car rental owner attacked by raider who steals large amount of fireworks

A masked attacker broke into a car rental firm, assaulted the owner before fleeing with a stash of fireworks.
Police said the incident took place early yesterday (Monday, November 6) morning at 0.25am at Practical Car & Van Rental in Sturmer Road, Haverhill.
Before leaving with a large amount of fireworks and loading them into a stolen white Ford Transit van, the unknown male encountered the owner of the business, attacked him and left him requiring hospital treatment.
The intruder is described as wearing a face mask and hood, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.
The victim was treated at the scene by police officers before being taken to hospital.
Anyone who has dashcam footage of vehicles in the Sturmer Road area between midnight and 1.10am or who has any information that could assist the inquiry is asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/64620/23.
