A14 set to be closed over six nights in September
The A14 is set to be closed for six nights next month to allow maintenance work to be carried out.
National Highways released the details today (Tuesday, August 20) saying that work has been carried out between junction 35 (Stow Cum Quy) and junction 38 (Waterhall interchange).
As part of the final phase of the scheme resurfacing will be carried out on the A11/A14 entry slip at junction 38 and plans the work over the six nights between Monday and Saturday, September 2 and 8.
The work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
The entry slip from the A1304 on to the A11 as well as the A11 southbound exit slip will be closed and traffic will be diverted as follows:
Traffic from Newmarket wanting to travel on the A11 northbound will be diverted onto Fordham Road to join the A14 at junction 37 (Exning) and merge onto the A11 northbound.
Traffic wishing to use the junction 38 southbound exit slip will follow the same diversion as above but in reverse.
A map of the diversion can be found above.
