Rotary club raises £600 from Quiz Night for two charities
The Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley has held its annual Quiz Night with 16 teams taking part.
Question master was John Player and the event was held at the Limes Hotel, in Needham Market, with it being hailed “an outstanding success” and was very much enjoyed by all the participants.
A sum of £600 was raised for the two benefitting charities, the Ormiston Families and the Kids Cancer Charity.
The photograph shows club president Guy Wiltshear giving a cheque for their half to Ormiston Family representatives Anya Bauly and Emily Stansfield (pictured above).
The Ormiston Families are based in Ipswich and provide support to prisoners’ families during a very troubling time.
They ensure that families with a loved one in prison aren’t left behind and in particular support the children as much as possible. They also help ex-offenders reintegrate into their community.
The Kids Cancer Charity helps children and their families who are diagnosed with this life-threatening disease. This can include therapy and care breaks.
The Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley usually meet once every two weeks at the Limes Hotel and sometimes by Zoom.
