Work on the A14 set to be completed in the coming days

There has been delays to the work on the A14 on the outskirts of Ipswich following recent poor weather.
However, the road between junction 52 (Claydon) and 55 (Copdock Interchange) is set to be competed on the eastbound carriageway using further overnight closures between 8pm and 6am this week, which began yesterday, Monday, October 14.
There will also be an extra overnight closure between 8pm and 6am, of the eastbound carriageway, on Saturday, October 19. The diversion route will remain as previously advised.
Work, which is being carried out by National Highways, to the westbound carriageway will then start on October 21.
To carry out the work the A14 will be closed with traffic diverted.
While the A14 is closed eastbound, traffic will exit at junction 52 (Claydon), travel along the B1113 through Bramford and Sproughton, then along the A1071 and A1214 to rejoin the A14 at Copdock roundabout. Westbound diversion will be the same in reverse.
A map of the diversions can be seen above.
