Man given prison sentence for series of drug offences
A man from Bury St Edmunds has been sentenced to five years and nine months in jail after pleading guilty to a series of drug offences.
Sam Roles, (pictured above) aged 26, from Winthrop Road, had pleaded guilty in May 2024 to the following offences:
- – Conspire to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine – between December 1, 2022, to May 11, 2023.
- – Conspire to supply a class B controlled drug – other – between December 1, 2022, to May 11, 2023.
- – Concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class B drug – between November 1, 2022, and May 11, 2023.
- – Possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis – on May 10, 2023.
- – Acquire / use / possess criminal property – on May 10, 2023.
- – Acquire / use / possess criminal property – on April 16, 2024.
He was remanded to prison pending his appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday, November 20, when he was given custodial sentences totalling 69 months.
