‘Discover + Dine’ launched at Abbeygate Cinema
The Abbeygate Cinema, in Hatter Street, Bury St Edmunds has launched a new season of “Discover + Dine” for 2025.
For £15, cinema goers can enjoy access to the weekly “Discove”’ film plus a two-course themed meal before the film at in-house restaurant, No. 4 Restaurant + Bar.
Whether it’s a vintage classic, an art-house gem or a riveting documentary, the “Discover’ series shows alternative films every Tuesday.
The menu for each “Discover + Dine” event is designed by the head chef specifically for that week’s film.
Guests can also take advantage of free parking from 3pm a Tuesday, making the whole experience even more affordable.
The January and February “Discover + Dine” dates are:
Tuesday, January 21
Film: “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies”. Main: Thai Green Curry + fragrant rice. Dessert: Coconut + lime rice pudding
Tuesday, February 4
Film: “Architecton”. Main: Kibbeh + rice. Dessert: Knafeh (a sugary cheese pastry smothered in orange blossom syrup).
Tuesday, February 18
Film: “The Tasting”. Main: Chicken Chasseur + creamy mash. Dessert: Lemon Posset.
Gareth Boggis, the general manager of Abbeygate Cinema, said: “We are excited about our new season of ‘Discover + Dine’. Having a restaurant in the cinema is a great benefit and we are in a unique position to offer a curated food and film experience for our guests.”
