Tribute to James Brown and Prince on show at The Apex next month

Funk Soul Orchestral’s James Brown vs Prince is a vibrant, high-energy celebration of the greatest funk and soul songs ever written and it is taking place at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month.

The orchestra pays homage to the legendary legacies of the pair who have left an indelible mark on the world of music.

From the funk anthems of “Sex Machine”, “Kiss” and “Get Up Offa That Thing”, to the timeless soulful ballads of “Purple Rain” and “Man’s World”, this show is sure to have you dancing in your seat.

Fronted by the electrifying vocal and stage performance of Ashton Jones (pictured above)who is from Ipswich, and featuring some of the UK’s best musicians, Funk Soul Orchestral have sold out Ronnie Scott’s (twice) and earned rave reviews and accolades.

Performing orchestral arrangements composed by band leader Harry Greene, this production promises to transport you to a bygone era of funk and soul, with its exceptional talent and engaging performances.
